During adolescents there are many physical changes occurring. Up until puberty patterns of hair growth are very similar for boys and girls.
Men develop facial, pubic, underarm and chest hair. Women develop pubic and underarm hair.
When a women develops facial and chest hair or excess hair in areas believed to be of a masculine pattern then they must seek answers.
The age in which an Adolescent should start treatment depends on the individual, the severity of the problem and the sensitivity of the skin. You may wish to wait until a girl has had her menses for at least a year to allow the hormonal changes to calm down. Make sure she is psychologically ready for treatment.
In sever cases, it is important that a physician be contacted to determine if there is an underlying cause of the hair growth that should be corrected. If so, the treatment is done before and during electrolysis or else the young lady will continue to produce new hair.
